One of the Chinese Airline has recently taken their crew outfits to the next level by presenting the jazzy high fashion clothing. The designs were created by Laurence Xu for Hainan Airlines.
Hainan Airlines flaunted their new style at the Paris Fashion Week. The uniforms are inspired by the ‘Cheongsam’, a conventional Chinese dress that ladies normally wear for more formal events. According to the Hainan Airlines, new print reflects a Hainan aircraft that has just taken flight and features “the roc”, a mythical bird denoting strength in Chinese culture. The latest designs of outfits are among the most beautiful uniforms the airlines industry has seen. Not since Etihad introduced its Ettore Bilotta-designed uniforms in 2015 has there been so much excitement or glamour surrounding in-flight couture.
Men’s uniforms are more conservative and Western-looking, with double breasted overcoats and smaller clues of Chinese traditional components.
“The collaboration between Hainan Airlines and Lawrence Xu is industry driving. We are not only making a new uniform but also demonstrating the internationalized picture of our carrier. Particularly on international routes, we may want to tell travelers that China is more trendy and modern,” said Xu Fei, brand director of Hainan Airlines.
